Research Careers Outside Academia is a panel event where students will hear from professionals who have applied their research training to careers outside of academia. Panelists will include Nandi Leslie, PhD, Principal Technical Fellow at RTX/Raytheon, Peter Nguyen, PhD, Policy Researcher at RAND Corporation, and Qiang Qin, PhD, Executive Director at Novartis. Learn about their academic and professional journeys and how they built careers in research outside traditional academic settings, spanning aerospace and defense, policy research, social science, and biotech and pharmaceuticals.
