Hello! My name is Jasleen, and I’m super excited to get to know you all!
Having been through the process of finding labs, emailing, and interviewing since high school, I’ve found some tried and tested ways when it comes to navigating research at Penn.
Most of the labs I’ve worked in are cell biology oriented, but I’ve also worked on some biophysics research, and in my current lab, I study CRISPR-Cas DNA editors. My past projects range from studying bacterial carbohydrate metabolism, tweaking diagnostics MRI techniques for Alzheimer’s, working on niche T cells, and assessing the impact of diet on the microbiome. I’ve also dipped into both wet and dry lab research and have found that both skill sets are vital to become a nuanced researcher.
I’d love to tell you more about my research experience at Penn. If you have questions or just want to talk research, please email me :)
