Hi! My name is Alex and I’m a bioengineering student in the class of 2025. My current research interests lie in cellular bioenergetics and medicine. I currently work in the Falk Lab at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where we are working on modulating Mitophagy in relieving cellular bioenergetic dysfunction in a rare genetic mitochondrial disease: OPA1 disease. Outside of research, I’m involved with MERT and SEAS Wellness.

I would love to help students find what research topics they’re passionate about and help them organize their priorities in finding a lab that suits them the best. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about getting into research!
