As an international student, the main reason why I chose to study in the US was to have more opportunities to get involved in research. That is why I decided to join the VIPER program and have been searching for research positions since the beginning of my undergraduate studies. My primary research experience is at the Anesthesiology department at CHOP, where I study electroencephalograms of patients under anesthesia and specifically the appearance of isoelectricity and its correlation with other intraoperative factors. I am also working at Modlab where I study the process of ice formation and possible methods to control the appearance and speed with which nucleation sites form and create ice, in order to ultimately use this knowledge for thermal energy storage. Last year, I started working at the Center for Neuroengineering and Therapeutics where I work on electroencephalogram analysis for the detection of epileptic seizures.

Even though my interests lie in the engineering and medical field, I am happy to help anyone in the process of finding a suitable research lab to work on. I know how daunting this experience might seem at first, so feel free to reach out to me with any questions!
