Hi! My name is Shannon. I study biology in the College of Arts and Sciences and I currently work in the Babushok Lab at the Perelman School of Medicine. My research project focuses on investigating how mutations in HLA alleles impact autoantigen presentation in acquired aplastic anemia.

Research has been an integral part of my undergraduate experience so far. Penn truly offers an amazing array of opportunities for students to get involved in research and CURF does a great job of offering support along the way. I am super excited to be part of the CURF RPA team and help others navigate their exciting research journeys. Feel free to reach out regarding any topic (choosing a lab, getting started in a lab, doing research during the summer/semester, etc.). I’d be happy to help!
