I’m a Math major who is minoring in Neuroscience and/or Cognitive Science in the College Class of 2024. I enjoy research that involves developing new statistical methods and applying statistics to neuroscience. I work with Dr. Dylan Small in the Penn Statistics and Data Science Department. With his mentorship, I have been using causal inference to study the neurological effects of contact sports participation, and I have been working on helping develop a quadruple crossmatch test. I also work with Drs. Lauren Massimo and Corey McMillan at the Penn Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD) Center. With their mentorship, I have been studying environmental and genetic factors related to frontotemporal degeneration, as well as the theory of cognitive reserve. Please feel free to talk to me about identifying research interests, getting involved in undergraduate research, and the various formats and disciplines in which research can take place! I am happy to talk about research in general, as well as specific interests, like using statistical software for research. I also enjoy the arts, so feel free to talk to me about that too.
