The Fulbright Program, which operates in over 160 countries worldwide, is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.  For the past several years running, the University of Pennsylvania has been a top-ten producer of Fulbright Students among U.S. colleges and universities.  Last year, 22 Fulbright U.S. Student Awards were awarded to Penn students and alumni to conduct independent research, pursue graduate study, or teach English abroad.

The individuals listed above will be magnificent additions to the ranks of Penn “Fulbrighters,” who now number over 250 since CURF’s founding in 2001.  Potential future Fulbrighters (undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni) are encouraged to call CURF at 215-746-6488 to schedule an appointment with Penn’s Fulbright Advisor, Lauren Orr (lorr@upenn.edu), and to take advantage of the support CURF offers to all Penn applicants to the Fulbright U.S. Student Program.
