At the Arthur Ross Gallery (ARG), the intern will interact closely with staff on substantive projects related to exhibitions as well as administrative operations. The intern will experience many aspects of managing an art exhibition including: condition reporting, exhibition design, loan agreements, program development, marketing, and community outreach as well as some digital media. Other projects include but are not limited to researching ways to reach new audiences as well as maintaining a list serve for the Gallery. The intern will also create a database of relevant news organizations, schools, and periodicals, which they will contact for the Fall/Spring exhibitions. The intern will gain valuable practical experience and learn museum best practices. The ARG staff generally work in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and remotely on Wednesdays and Fridays. SHIP interns should expect to follow the same schedule.
