General Information
FactCheck.org, a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center (APPC), hosts a year-round, paid fellowship program for undergraduate students at the University of Pennsylvania. The fellows participate in a full-time summer training program to learn how to monitor political claims, conduct research using the best evidence and write fact-checking articles. During the academic year, they work part time to assist our staff. Fellows conduct research, contribute to fact-checking articles, fact-check articles written by FactCheck.org and respond to questions from readers.
Participants will be trained during an 8-week, paid summer program at FactCheck's offices at APPC. Those who are trained during the summer must agree to work 10-15 hours per week at FactCheck.org during the fall and spring semesters, if their work merits continued employment.
The training program will run from May 27, 2025, to July 18, 2025.
Eligibility Guidelines
The fellows must have an ability to write clearly and concisely, an understanding of journalistic practices and ethics, and an interest in politics and public policy. The fellows also must be able to think independently and set aside any partisan biases.
