Graduate StudentThe Y.H. Park Fellowship funds a Ph.D. or a master’s student in the humanities, social sciences, international management, international studies, or fine arts whose primary research area is Korea and whose dissertation will be on Korea. The Park Fellowship will cover the cost of Reduced PhD Tuition, a 12-month stipend and health insurance.
Applicants are expected to continue their scholarly activities outside of Korea after completion of their degrees. They must have sufficient Korean-language proficiency to use Korean-language sources in conducting research and writing dissertations.
Application Components:
- A synopsis (no more than 2 pages) of your research agenda
- a brief statement of your career plans
- your CV
an unofficial copy of your Penn transcript or Pennant transcript page
Once complete, please send your materials to provost-ed@upenn.edu. Be prepared to request a letter of recommendation from your advisor or a faculty member who knows you well enough to attest to how this fellowship will advance your studies.
