General Information
The Student Educational Employment Program is a government-wide program that allows students taking at least a half-time academic, technical, or vocational course load in an accredited high school, technical, vocational, two- or four-year college or university, graduate or professional school to be part of a cooperative-learning environment. During this paid internship, you'll do work that's directly related to your area of focus as well as broader work to get to know our agency. For more information visit USAJobs.
- Student Career Experience Program (SCEP): With formal periods of work and study while you're attending school, this program offers focused experience related to your field of study. You, your university, and USSTRATCOM will team up to fulfill the goals of this program. Once you've completed SCEP and finished school, you may be eligible for full time employment with USSTRATCOM. You can view the Omaha-area internship vacancies through the Career Services Offices/Job Websites for the University of Nebraska-Omaha, University of Nebraska - Lincoln, Creighton University, Bellevue University (NCRC consortium), University of Phoenix, College of Saint Mary, and University of Oklahoma. You must be a current student in the local area and U.S. citizen to be eligible.
- Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP): For current students looking for internships lasting approximately one semester, this program offers you paid temporary employment with a government agency. Your work doesn't necessarily have to correlate to your field of study.
- Scholarship-For-Service Program: USSTRATCOM participates in the Department of Defense’s Science, Mathematics and Research Transformation (SMART) Scholarship Program. The program provides the United States with talented, trained American men and women who will lead state-of-the-art research projects in disciplines having the greatest payoff to national defense requirements.
Deadlines and eligibility criteria will vary based on the specific opportunity.
