Angie Estevez Ed.D.

Associate Director for Fellowships

Dr. Angie Estévez is the Associate Director for Fellowships at the Center for Undergraduate Research & Fellowships (CURF). She recruits and advises undergraduate, graduate and alumni applicants for nationally and internationally competitive fellowships and select Penn awards. Dr. Estévez assists students applying for awards such as the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, Truman Scholarship and Udall Undergraduate Scholarship.
Before joining CURF, Dr. Estévez served as an Assistant Director of Advising Services and Academic Support in the College of Arts and Sciences at Penn, where she mentored, advised, and supported undergraduate students for over 12 years. Prior to Penn, she served at the University of Delaware and Cecil College in various leadership and student affairs roles including program counselor for TRIO, coordinator of Career Services, academic advisor, multicultural admissions counselor, adjunct instructor and athletic coach. Dr. Estévez began her career in the corporate world where she supervised teams in the banking and life insurance industries.

Dr. Estévez earned her B.A. in Sociology, M.Ed. in College Counseling and Ed.D. in Educational Administration from the University of Delaware. Her doctoral capstone project explored access and equity pertaining to internship participation among Penn undergraduate students.
