Mentor Areas

Addiction treatment using medications and psychosocial interventions, and as a way to reduce the spread of HIV and outcome of HIV treatment.

Description:

We just finished the study of extended-release injectable naltrexone for preventing relapse to opioids after release from the Philadelphia Department of Prisons, and will be starting a study comparing a combination of pregabalin and lofexidine alone for detoxifying persons from opioid dependence. We could not involve students in these studies but could explain the studies to them in a virtual meeting and answer any questions.
