Mentor Areas

Animals are housed on farms for human use. We have an ethical obligation to provide for their care. My research focuses on practical ways to improve their welfare that can be implemented within farming systems.

Description:

Students will be engaged in aiding in data collection and processing. Projects will be associated with using GIS to determine risk factors for disease spread in farm animals. Projects may also assess welfare of animals on farms.

Projects will vary. Interested students should contact us to discuss possibilities.
