Mentor Areas

Our lab is interested in mechanisms of tumor immune surveillance and ways to harness the activity of innate lymphocytes for cellular cancer immunotherapy. The current projects in the lab include: 1) Directing natural killer T cell anti-tumor responses 2) Alterations in tumor microenvironment with polyamine antagonism 3) Mechanisms of chimeric antigen receptor T cell-mediated cytokine storm syndrome 4) Effect of augmenting TCR-mediated signals in chronic viral infections

Description:

There are a number of small and mid-sized projects available in my lab. I would be happy to discuss these with students with the appropriate credentials and with a deep interest and desire to impact the field of cancer immunotherapy.

Preferred Qualifications

I prefer working with juniors and seniors who have a more comprehensive understanding of biology and perhaps even basic immunology.
