Mentor Areas

Liver biology, metabolic diseases, personalized nutrition, multi-omics approaches.

Description:

Our lab is interested in understanding the genetics of metabolic diseases. We use cutting edge approaches (single cell RNA sequencing, lipidomics, human induced pluripotent stem cells) and mouse and cell models to understand the molecular mechanisms of gene-phenotype associations. We also are designing dietary interventions as potential personalized nutrition approaches to treating metabolic diseases.

Preferred Qualifications

We have opportunities for trainees interested in learning molecular biology, cell culture, and basic bioinformatics with any level of prior experience.
