Mentor Areas

Our lab focuses on translational cancer immunology research, taking advantage of innovative clinical trials to 1) identify targets for novel immunotherapies in cancer and 2) understand mechanisms of resistance. Our research involves the integration of immunotherapy trials, flow cytometric and transcriptional approaches, spatial transcriptomics, and advanced computational analysis to understand the underlying cellular mechanism of immunotherapies in the human system. Currently we are interrogating the pharmacodynamic immune response to single agent and combination checkpoint blockade in the setting of neoadjuvant clinical trials in melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, and renal cell carcinoma.
