Mentor Areas

Dr. Hartung’s research interests include autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease (ARPKD) and development of new kidney and liver imaging biomarkers. Current studies include studies of novel ultrasound and MRI methods to quantify kidney and liver disease severity in children with ARPKD and investigating cardiovascular complications in children with ARPKD. I am also involved with several collaborative research projects in kidney disease and kidney transplant. 

Description:

Various clinical projects may be available depending on students’ time commitment and level of experience. These may include interacting with study participants/families, data entry, data analysis, writing abstracts/papers. Actual responsibilities will depend on interests/experience.

Prior clinical research experience is helpful but not required.
