Description:
Students will assist with building a database of languages and communicative practices in immigrant communities in Philadelphia and in the agencies that serve those populations. Undergraduate research assistants will gather and compile this information by interviewing second-year master's students who have been doing research in these agencies. Our goal is to support these agencies by tapping into and documenting community knowledge, illuminating the language resources that can support their translation and other communication needs.
