She has projects related to the impact of immune mediated platelet destruction on patient reported outcomes, the genetics of immune dysregulation in ITP and the genetics of inherited platelet disorders. She also maintains (in collaboration with Dr. Mortimer Poncz) an ongoing research project studying the biology of megakaryopoiesis and the effect of a platelet specific chemokine, platelet factor 4, in a negative regulatory loop on megakaryocyte development and its implications in radiation and chemotherapy induced thrombocytopenia.
