Dr. Pitta's lab is focused on deciphering host-microbe, dietary-microbe and microbe-microbe interactions in animal's gut.
Description:
Students will pick and choose projects from different areas but linked to understanding the role of microbes relevant to One Health. The summer students will be responsible for problem identification, literature review and develop a program plan to be completed in 10 weeks. Included in this will be sample collection, training on wet-lab techniques, molecular-biology based methods and data analysis followed by interpretation of the data. The students are expected to submit a research report at the conclusion of the work.
