Mentor Areas
Our team generally conducts intervention studies to improve sleep in diverse populations, with a particular focus on older adults.
Description:
Our research projects focus on sleep disorders, with a particular emphasis on older adults and projects that involve mobile apps (smartphone apps) and biometric sensors. Our intervention studies include mindfulness approaches for improving sleep as well. Most of our study participants are older adults, but we conduct studies across a broad range of ages, and also do research in older adults with cognitive impairment. In addition, we explore commercial implementation/entrepreneurship related to some of these topics.
