Mentor Areas

My research interests have been in the evaluation and treatment of abnormal heart rhythms in children and in the prevention of sudden cardiac arrest. I am the principal investigator of the Healthy Heart Screening Study, a large epidemiologic study aiming to evaluate over 15,000 children using electrocardiograms to determine the best methodology to identify children at risk for sudden cardiac arrest. I am interested in applying the knowledge base of the public health field to health policy to effect changes that will improve the health of children.
