Hannah Agarwal
Hi everyone! I am a junior in the College studying psychology, and I am so excited to help guide y’all on your research journeys. When I started at Penn, I knew that I wanted to get involved in research, but I was not quite sure how. However, with the help of CURF and the PURM award, I began working with Professor Paul H. Robinson in Spring 2023. This past year, I have spent much of my time researching criminal law issues, including three strikes, pretrial detention reform, and sentencing guidelines. I also looked into the differences in criminal codes between democrat and republican-controlled states, presenting these findings at the Fall 2023 CURF Research Expo. During this time, I learned how to use sites like Westlaw and LexisNexis, which are essential to conducting legal research.
This has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I am fortunate that I have been given the opportunity to contribute to published law review articles and books as an undergraduate. I know that getting involved in research—especially legal research—may seem intimidating, but I am more than happy to answer your questions, give advice, or just chat! Please feel free to reach out!
