As a current undergrad student, my interest lies in the intersection of chemistry, protein analysis, virology, and immunology. These include, but are not limited to, matching function to the structures of proteins, understanding the intricate signaling pathways that certain viral proteins may cause on the immune system, and performing synthetic chemistry for biological use. These interests have led me to the Eisenlohr lab at CHOP, where I currently study an immunomodulatory protein, A35R, which is conserved through most orthopoxviruses.

Coming into Penn, I knew I wanted to do research, but I didn’t know where to begin. How do I get involved in labs? How do I find funding? What lab culture best fits me? I understand how overwhelming the process may be, and I am here to help guide you through the process. With one step at a time, I am here to help maximize your research experience at UPenn, and I hope to share my excitement of research with you.
