Isa Pan
Hi guys!! I'm Isa and I'm a sophomore in the VIPER program studying Chemistry and Materials Science & Engineering. My interest in science started when I was 5 years old, when I found out that putting toothpaste on my mosquito bite could help relieve the itchiness. Last summer, I started working with professor Russell Composto on the characteristics of polymer brushes through the usage of Quartz Crystal Microbalance. I loved getting exposed to college-level research, and also getting to know the people in my lab who shared a diverse range of interests.
Like every college student, I was nervous during my first semester here, but I eventually found my passion in research. I would love to help my fellow Penn students to find the field of research they're interested in. If you have any questions regarding energy-related research, or chemistry or materials science & engineering, feel free to reach out to me! I would love to get to know you!
