Hi! My name is Jojo, and I'm a junior majoring in Biochemistry and Biophysics in the College of Arts and Sciences. My research focuses on developing epigenetic sequencing methods using enzymes rather than chemicals, which is particularly beneficial for clinical applications with low sample input.

When I was a freshman at Penn, I was lucky to have a peer advisor who guided me step by step in finding a lab with a supportive environment where I could pursue my interests. I eventually joined Dr. Rahul Kohli’s lab, and being part of this family has profoundly shaped me as a scientist and as a person. As a CURF RPA, I hope to help others the way my advisor helped me, by guiding them to find places where they can learn and enjoy doing science :) If you have any questions about research or life at Penn, I'm always happy to chat!
