Tommy Zeng
Hi! I am a senior in the College studying Political Science (International Relations concentration) and pursuing a Certificate of Law through Penn Carey Law School's Master in Law (ML) program. My research interests center around international law and global governance, with a specific focus on international climate law and US-China relations. Since the summer before my junior year, I have been an RA for two professors at Penn Law and worked on various projects related to international law, which has only strengthened my desire to pursue a JD in the future.
Research was one of the main reasons I applied to transfer to Penn. As a pre-law student, the opportunity to work closely and form meaningful connections with professors, especially law school faculties, is extremely rewarding in both short and long terms. I have been fortunate to receive guidance and support from CURF, particularly through PURM, to advance my research and academic interests. And I hope more students can benefit from the same fruitful experience that I have been a part of. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions regarding Humanities/Social Sciences/pre-law research at Penn!
