Veikko Toikka

Hey! I'm Veikko, a sophomore studying Materials Science and Engineering and Finance in the M&T program. I am currently working as a student researcher in professor Shu Yang's Group, where I have had the chance to explore Materials research in a sustainability focused lab. I am especially interested in working on technologies that enhance access to fresh water, and spent the previous spring semester and summer helping improve aerodynamics-enhanced kirigami fog collectors. This fall, I am excited to be continuing this project, through which I hope to further my exploration of research areas like scalable metamaterials, materials testing and characterization, and fluid mechanics.

As a Wharton student, I also have a good understanding of research opportunities in many business disciplines like management, marketing, or finance.
