Since 2016, the Postsecondary National Policy Institute (PNPI) has been honored to sponsor talented, policy-minded undergraduate and graduate students through our Summer Scholars Program. Our goals for the Summer Scholars Program are three-fold: provide scholars with opportunities to build their knowledge base, build scholars’ professional networks, and inspire our scholars to someday return to Washington for a career in federal policymaking.
As we near the start of our seventh season, we find ourselves not only proud of our alumni and their accomplishments, but also eager to welcome two new scholars this summer from May 31–August 5, 2022. Applicants to the program are required to demonstrate full- or part-time enrollment at an accredited institution of higher education and proof of financial need. All majors and fields of study are considered, but candidates must indicate an interest in postsecondary education policy.
Applications and more information on eligibility and benefits are currently available in the tabs belowand are due by 5pm ET on Friday, February 11, 2022.
To ensure that the experience is substantive and accessible, PNPI provides its scholars with housing and travel assistance in addition to an hourly wage. The leading source of professional development for federal postsecondary policymakers, PNPI offers scholars the opportunity to build their knowledge base and their network in federal higher education policy over the course of their summer in D.C.
