PennSound is the world’s largest archive of sound recordings of poets reading their own work. The PennSound Summer Internship program offers interns experience managing our extensive collection of recorded work. Interns will work onsite at Kelly Writers House to help prepare both new and pre-existing media for wider distribution, using audio/video editing software, HTML, and equipment available in our recording studio. Interns will also have the opportunity to work on other digital projects at the Writers House if interested, including Jacket2, PoemTalk, and ModPo. This is the perfect hands-on experience for someone interested in the connection between digital media and arts management; no previous experience required, but applicants should be comfortable with and open to learning various pieces of software/hardware. More information can be found at the PennSound website: writing.upenn.edu/pennsound/
