Non-U.S. CitizenThe McCall MacBain Scholarships bring together exceptional students who strive to engage in positive change by taking on meaningful leadership roles. McCall MacBain Scholars connect with mentors and participate in an interdisciplinary leadership program while pursuing a fully funded master’s or professional degree at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. They are looking for applicants with exceptional character, community engagement, leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit, academic strength, and intellectual curiosity. University endorsement is required for current students and recent graduates from the last 3 years.
Application Components:
To apply:
- Open the CURF McCall MacBain Nomination Request form and request your references (references must be submitted by your recommenders directly to McCall MacBain and CURF separately by the campus deadline).
- Complete your application on the McCall MacBain website. Within your McCall MacBain application, send your university endorsement request to Walter Lohmann (wlohmann@upenn.edu).
- Download a PDF of your McCall MacBain application and upload it to CURF's McCall MacBain Nomination Request form. You must submit both to McCall MacBain and CURF by the campus deadline.
Eligibility:
To be eligible to apply in 2026 for our 2027 cohort, you must meet ONE of the following criteria:
- You are a current student on track to earn your first bachelor’s degree by August 2027
- You earned your first bachelor’s degree in the last five years (January 2021 or later)
- You earned your first bachelor’s degree more than five years ago, and were 30 years or younger on January 1st, 2026
You will need to meet the minimum degree and language requirements for McGill master’s program admission. Contact McGill Graduate Admissions if you have questions about the university’s minimum requirements for admission.
