I am deeply interested in exploring how health disparities, social justice, and public policy intersect to shape healthcare outcomes. My curiosity especially centers on intervention design—particularly technology-assisted approaches—that can expand access to behavioral medicine and advance more equitable healthcare solutions. The summer after my junior year of high school, I worked in Dr. Gallagher’s lab, where I researched protein-protein interactions within Arabidopsis thaliana plant roots. That experience introduced me to the rigor and creativity of scientific research, fueling my commitment to investigating complex health challenges.
At Penn, I am currently involved with Student Nurses at Penn (SNAP), the Research Bridge Initiative (RBI@Penn), the Penn Nursing Wellness Advisory Board, Penn in Hand, SPEC, and the Wharton Undergraduate Healthcare Club (WUHC). My interests are also rooted in personal experiences: witnessing homelessness in Philadelphia, reading extensively about the HIV/AIDS epidemic, and growing up close to struggles with substance use. These experiences have strengthened my resolve to contribute to research that not only advances knowledge but also drives systemic change in healthcare.
