Tommy Zhang
A junior in the College of Arts and Sciences, I am a Psychology and Linguistics double-major with a submatriculation in the Linguistics MA program. My research interest straddles between my two majors: the interdisciplinary field of psycholinguistics. Specifically, I am interested in researching the cognitive mechanisms underlying language production, especially the production of lexical tones in tonal languages (e.g., Mandarin Chinese). Beyond research, I enjoy singing, reading non-fiction books in Cognitive Science and Psychology, watching SNL, learning foreign languages, and visiting Apple Stores around the world (My current favorite? Apple Jing'an in Shanghai).
