Seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) research assistant to help with several research projects related to the needs of multi-lingual families of a child affected by autism. Learn about autism, clinical research, health equity, immigrant health, and health policy from an experienced research team.

Study 1: LEAP-- conducting the largest multi-lingual survey to date to understand the service utilization of children on the autism spectrum. Assist with mailing surveys, participant tracking, data management, and data entry.

Study 2: Spanish-language needs assessment-- conducting focus groups to understand the needs of families with an autistic child. Assist with study activities, including coordinating participant focus groups, assisting with cleaning Spanish-language transcripts of focus group sessions, and data management.

Study 3: Photo-elicitation study evaluating the patient experience when attending a follow-up visit in developmental and behavioral pediatrics. Assist with study activities, including \assisting with cleaning English and Spanish-language transcripts of focus group sessions, and data management.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to go to medical school or into a psychology program. 

Approximate hours required: 5-10 hours/week

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual (Spanish/English)-- must be able to pass a qualifying language exam.

Experience with RedCap preferred but not required.
