Christopher B. Forrest, MD, is a pediatrician at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and an academic investigator in applied clinical research (i.e., science that can have an immediate impact on clinical care). He directs a large research group that is devoted to advancing multi-institutional clinical and health services research in routine pediatric healthcare settings. Forrest serves as the Principal Investigator for PEDSnet, a national consortium of children’s hospitals (>14 million children) that conducts patient-centered outcomes research among children and youth.
Description:
Our research group offers a large-scale, national research initiative called PEDSnet (see https://pedsnet.org/ for more information). Undergraduate scholars can participate in a variety of clinical research activities including patient recruitment, qualitative research, statistical analysis, and database management.
