Mentor Areas
The Su lab studies human T cell immune responses, asking questions like: How does your body make durable protective responses to vaccines and infections? Why do T cells turn "bad" and cause autoimmune diseases in some people? We are particularly interested in how past microbial experiences change a person's baseline immune state to promote health or drive disease.
