Description:

Projects will vary but primarily involve using miniature artificial languages, or non-linguistic communication systems, to study language variation and change. Basic responsibilities include helping pilot experiments and recruit participants. More advanced activities include experimental design, analysis and programming, depending on the student’s experience and ability.

Preferred Qualifications

No technical skills required, but familiarity with the basics of experimental design is a plus. Experience with programming is important if the student is interested in engaging in more advanced activities.
