Mentor Areas

The Lim lab aims to characterize a quantitative range of gene expression that ensures normal development. Misregulation of a gene in space and time is often associated with various developmental defects and disease phenotypes. We use combination of genome editing, live imaging, mathematical modeling, and quantitative image analysis to elucidate a molecular mechanism of when and where to turn ON or OFF a gene of interest.
