Mentor Areas

Epigenetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Machine Learning

Description:

(Our lab) is looking for motivated young researchers to help in projects that develop and apply genomics assays at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (Colket Translational Research Building 9th floor). We aim to develop translational diagnostic tools for cancer diagnosis and a better understanding of the epigenetics mechanism of developmental biology and cancer biology. We work with diverse primary human and mouse tissues and cell types, in malignant and healthy conditions. Successful applicants will participate in projects that use advanced genomics techniques to address fundamental and translational applications. We provide opportunities for undergraduate students to acquire cutting-edge bench or computational skillsets and contribute to peer-review research publications. Multiple openings include genomics bench experiments and computational data analysis.

We welcome students interested in genomics and epigenetics to contact us (wanding.zhou@pennmedicine.upenn.edu) and chat.
