Mentor Areas

Dr. Foglia directs both the clinical and research neonatal resuscitation programs at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She is particularly interested in identifying methods to monitor and optimize delivery room management of extremely preterm infants. Current projects include both randomized trials of novel strategies to resuscitate preterm infants, and observational studies of provider performance during delivery room resuscitation.

Description:

Projects will vary, but typical student roles include video analysis of newborn resuscitation, direct observations of providers' performance, processing eye tracking data, and reviewing medical records.
