- The Penn Vet Working Dog Center will be a resource for behavioral, nutrition, development and conditioning studies in dogs being trained for detection work.
Description:
Projects will vary and include cognition, olfaction, behavior, and exercise physiology. Interested students should contact us to discuss possibilities. In addition, attending one of our tours (offered twice monthly - see our website) is highly encouraged.
Preferred Qualifications
Students will participate in data collection on the dogs during their testing. Students should be detailed oriented and familiar with data entry. Experience with dogs is helpful.
While I do not pay student salaries, I am happy to work with students to apply for grants that may be used for support. Independent study credit may be possible
