Description:

Neutrophils, the predominant circulating white blood cell in humans, can combat infection by releaseing neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs), webs of decondensed chromatin coated with histones and anti-microbial peptides that can capture and potentially kill bacteria and fungi. However, when released in a dysregulated manner, NETs can promote clotting and contribute to organ injury. Although many have proposed either preventing NET release or
