Pediatric Rehabilitation
Description:
****Our top project looking for assistance is PLAY (Play and Learning Across a Year) at CHOP. PLAY: Play and Learning Across a Year is a large, multi-site study funded by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development to develop a shared database for developmental science. Our lab at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is responsible for collecting 30 videos that meet specific quality standards and for coding 60 videos for locomotion. Students will be taught data collection and coding procedures through PLAY video tutorials and remote meetings with NYU. Students will gain experience using video coding software that is the current scientific standard in behavioral science.****
Our other research studies are in the general area of pediatric neuromotor rehabilitation. Most of our studies include infants and children with cerebral palsy. Specific project match is dependent on status/needs of various active studies and interest/skills/schedule of student. Timeline can be ongoing during the school year or during the summer, dependent on project needs.
