Description:
Our research team is funded by the FDA to conduct experimental research that has implications for tobacco policy and regulation. Undergraduate research assistants usually contribute to several different projects over the course of the semester that are in all different phases of the research process. Typical tasks include web searches for stimulus materials, coding stimulus materials, literature searches/reviews, annotated bibliographies, some video editing, and testing online surveys.
We hire 2-3 research assistants each semester to work with our research team. These are paid positions that can be work study, but does not have to be.
RA's set their own schedule at the beginning of the semester to work 10 hours per week in the office between 9 am and 5 pm Monday-Friday. Work can be done remotely during the pandemic.
Preferred Qualifications
We tend to hire sophomores and juniors to work in our lab with the hope that they might be able to continue for future semesters.
Experience with research methods is a plus, though not required.
