Hi! I’m Audrey, and I'm a third-year Biochemistry major at Penn with a minor in Statistics and Data Science. I started research in high school, studying how adult stem cells interact with the immune system during wound healing and in the tumor microenvironment. That experience sparked my interest in chronic inflammation and cancer immunity, which led me to join the Wherry Lab at the Perelman School of Medicine. There, I have been developing and optimizing an inducible split-Cas9 system to study T cell exhaustion and use a CRISPR-based platform to identify key regulators of T cell function in chronic infection.

When I’m not in the lab, you can find me running along the Schuylkill, exploring new restaurants in the city, or listening to a true crime podcast. Mentorship has been a huge part of my own journey, and I’m excited to share what I’ve learned with other students. Feel free to reach out—I’m happy to chat about research, premed life, or anything in between!
