Ayesha Mallick
Hi! My name is Ayesha Mallick, and I’m a junior majoring in Biology. When I was first exploring research at Penn, I had a Research Peer Advisor who helped me a lot and made the process of finding opportunities and getting involved in research much easier. Their guidance had a big impact on my own experience, and I’m excited to help other students navigate the same process.
I can help with finding and applying to research opportunities, identifying labs that match your interests, drafting outreach emails, preparing for interviews, deciding between different research paths, and learning how to contribute once you join a lab. I can also share advice on balancing coursework with research responsibilities and making the most of mentorship. My goal is to make research feel more accessible and help students feel confident as they explore their interests.
Outside of research, I enjoy hiking, exploring new cafés, watching soccer, and playing lacrosse. I’m also involved in my community through Penn’s cultural and religious organizations. I’m always happy to connect, answer questions, and share what I’ve learned about getting involved in research at Penn!
