Michael Jacob
Hi, I’m Michael and I'm a senior studying Mathematics and Computer Science in the College of Arts and Sciences. I’m currently working with Professor Kostas Daniilidis in the GRASP Laboratory, developing generative AI models over non-Euclidean Manifolds for reconstructing camera poses. Previously, I worked with Professor Bhuvnesh Jain in the Astrophysics department on methods for analyzing the distribution of dark matter in the universe, using denoising diffusion models and statistical techniques such as the Scattering Transform and Wavelet Phase Harmonics for data compression.
Working across physics, computer vision, and machine learning has given me valuable interdisciplinary research experience, and I’m always happy to help students connect with opportunities outside their primary field of study. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to chat!
