Shreya Nair
Hello! I am a junior studying Biology, Bioengineering, and Engineering Entrepreneurship. My research interests are largely in cancer biology. At Penn, I study cancer interception in pancreatic cancer, an approach that targets precancerous lesions (PanINs) at their earliest stages, aiming to eradicate them before they progress to invasive pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. My early research experience began in high school, where I worked on plant-defense responses and the molecular mechanisms plants use against pathogens and pests. Research has profoundly shaped my academic journey, becoming one of the most enriching aspects of my undergraduate experience. I look forward to helping fellow undergraduates navigate the process of joining a lab and exploring their research passions.
