Vicky Vo
Hello! My name is Vicky, and I’m a junior at Penn studying Nursing (BSN) and Public Health (MPH). When I first arrived at Penn, I had no research experience and found getting involved a bit intimidating. My first exposure came through PURM, and over the past couple of years, I’ve developed a strong understanding of the research process and what it takes to succeed. Penn offers a wealth of opportunities across all majors and disciplines, so there's something for everyone.
Currently, I’m a Research Assistant at the Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research (CHOPR), where I work on projects focused on patient-to-nurse staffing ratios and their policy implications.
I understand how much the right mentorship can shape your journey, both in research and beyond, and how daunting it can be to find the right opportunity. If you ever have questions or simply want to talk, I’m happy to share my experiences and help you find your path!
